Words of the year 2015

OK, so “OK” is once again considered to be the most understood Global English word worldwide. I like it, it’s accompanied me through life, it’s friendly, and it’s fair, and luckily understood by almost anyone, of all ages, races, and religions.

But with more than 1.83 billion speakers, English is constantly morphing and blending to represent what is happening and trending in society, in the news and culturally across the globe.

Resulting from tracked searches and on trend, those words of the year are incorporated into foreign language and culture in English. And it seems that the twerking of yesteryear morphed into an identity obsession in 2015, the “me” year.
