Switch off and go on staycation

What is staycation, intensive summer english course

When the going gets tough, the tough staycation

I called a friend in New York the other day to see how he was doing. He said “I’m really good, I’m on staycation.” He said he’d been working like crazy and flying all over the globe from china to brazil, “I just needed some downtime, without working but without traveling too.

The staycation, a stay-at-home-vacation is fast becoming a trend both in the United States and in Europe where due to the credit crunch and crisis people are afraid to spend money but need the down time, are afraid to go to far away from their jobs or the office and risk their jobpost, or are just so darn tired that the idea of added travel itself is exhausting.

Stay, play, and catch up cation

The ideal staycation, or for a staycation to have the right effect, you need to really turn work off though. Put the computer away or turn your phone off, if you stay connected you just aren’t really going to get the most out of it. The staycation, it’s a time you can catch up with the kids, the laundry (lol) house repairs, friends you no longer see, learning something new, learning a language for next years vacation, or for getting back to the simple things in life without the hassles of work or travel.
